Advanced information technology provides strong support for pathology. The Heart Center uses two dedicated cardiac catheterization labs and radiology services includes magnetic resonance imaging and invasive radiology.

Respiratory therapy remains one of our busiest departments, and physical medicine and rehabilitation has expansive services including hydrotherapy and complimentary medicine. Infection control holds an impressive record for diagnosis of several rare diseases, making it one of the best community-based programs in the country.

Neurodiagnostics
Our department provides a wide range of in-patient and out-patient electroneurodiagnostic testing and monitoring to a large range of our patients. Our staff has an impressive combined experience of over 100 years!

Located at a serene, recently constructed off-site eight-bed facility, our Sleep Disorders Center is staffed with highly credentialed professionals who provide a wide range of sleep-related testing and monitoring to patients.

Pathology
Accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), our Pathology Services Department at Mary Washington Hospital provides diagnostic testing 24 hours a day in the major specialties of clinical pathology, anatomic pathology, and cytopathology for all our patients. We perform over two million laboratory tests a year with the most leading-edge technology available, in an atmosphere that fosters department and individual professional advancement.

Radiology
A dynamic department, Radiology encompasses all modalities of imaging: diagnostic radiology, ultrasound, MRI, CT, interventional radiology, PET, nuclear medicine, and more. Radiology provides crucial support to our Emergency Department - one of the busiest in the state with over 65,000 visits a year.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Mary Washington Hospital's highly respected rehabilitation programs are coordinated to provide seamless care through the various phases of treatment and effective communication between patient, therapist, and referring physician. Members of our rehabilitation team conduct careful evaluations and develop individual treatment plans and home programs for physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Pain management services are also part of the regiment of care. Other services include inpatient and outpatient physical and occupational therapies, speech language pathology, day rehabilitation, and our new sub-acute rehabilitation program.
